Key Responsibilities
- Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments
- Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs
- Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations
- Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and legal guidelines and regulations
- Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence
- Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices
- Provides technical support to project managers
- Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals
- Reports the status of projects to business and market leaders
- Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence
- Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Senior Manager Attend such courses/seminars run by external sources to enable accurate interpretation of legislation to enable implementation within the organization.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering diploma or equivalent
- Current certifications in Construction safety or industry standards
- Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Implementation
- Knowledge of International Labor Organization – Global Occupational Safety & Health setting.
- Familiarity with legislation and other related safety guidelines
- Good team player, Self-confident, motivated, and independent Ability to train, influence and motivate team members
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the construction industry, including at least 4 years management level safety professional experience
- Knowledge of project controls
- Excellent knowledge of administrative policies, legislations and guidelines
- Working knowledge of enforcing policies and procedures for occupational health and safety
- Working knowledge in risk management system
- Working knowledge in environmental compliance
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent in English (writing, speaking, reading) Computer literacy especially MS Office
- Ability to provide administrative policies and procedures
- Ability to manage multinational project
