Key Responsibilities

  1. Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments
  2. Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs
  3. Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations
  4. Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and legal guidelines and regulations
  5. Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence
  6. Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices
  7. Provides technical support to project managers
  8. Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals
  9. Reports the status of projects to business and market leaders
  10. Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence
  11. Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Senior Manager Attend such courses/seminars run by external sources to enable accurate interpretation of legislation to enable implementation within the organization.

Qualification

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering diploma or equivalent
  2. Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Implementation
  3. Knowledge of International Labor Organization – Global Occupational Safety & Health setting
  4. Familiarity with legislation and other related safety guidelines
  5. Ability to train, influence and motivate team members
  6. At least 5 years experience in management level safety professional experience
  7. Obtained professional safety certificate
  8. Excellent knowledge of legislations and procedures
  9. Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
  10. Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety
  11. Working knowledge of safety management information system
  12. Outstanding organizational skills
  13. Excellent in English
  14. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  15. Flexible, honestly, hard-working, good team work
  16. Willing to travel to all sites and able to work required
  17. Good time-management skills
  18. Great interpersonal and communication skills.
